Knowing the Pests of the Valley

A guide to the pests our technicians see most in valley yards and homes. You do not need to identify a pest before you call.

How to use this local reference guide

Each entry describes a pest found across the Las Vegas valley, along with where technicians usually find them around properties. Use these facts to recognize active species around your house, garage, or landscaping.

Nobody can confirm some pests, termites especially, from a photo or single sign on a wall. Simply describe what you are seeing when you contact our office, and a licensed technician will inspect your home to identify it.

We needed a formal Wood Destroying Insect report to sell our house. Marco came out and inspected the slab and garage thoroughly. He sent the written report to our agent the next business day.

We heard scratching in the attic. Luis found where roof rats were getting in, sealed the entry points with steel mesh, and set traps. He came back to check the traps just like he promised.

Roof rat exclusion, Spring Valley

We use the quarterly plan for ants and spiders. When we saw a few ants return near the kitchen in summer, they came back out and treated the area again at no charge.

Kim gave us a written checklist to prepare our bedrooms for bed bug treatment. She treated the furniture and baseboards, then returned about two weeks later to check for activity.
