When you complete a subterranean termite liquid treatment or bait installation on your property, a termite warranty specifies how future subterranean termite activity on your lot is addressed. Subterranean termites live in the soil and build pencil-width mud tubes to travel above ground. On slab homes, they enter through cracks, expansion joints, and plumbing penetrations. Their damage is often hidden behind drywall and baseboards. Winged swarmers appear in warm weather, often after rain. Discarded wings on windowsills are a common first sign. Because nobody can confirm termites from a photo or a single sign, an inspection confirms activity. Here is a clear breakdown of how our retreatment warranty works, what services are provided, and how coverage continues from year to year.
The scope of retreatment coverage
Our termite liquid soil treatments and bait station installations come with a one-year retreatment warranty. If subterranean termites return to treated areas during the active warranty period, we return to perform additional liquid soil applications or station servicing. Liquid treatments involve trenching soil around the foundation, drilling through concrete slabs or patios where necessary, or localized spot treatment when activity is limited. Bait installations use stations placed directly in the ground around your home. Termite treatment choice depends on the species, where activity is, the construction, access, how extensive it is, and whether the goal is treatment or prevention.
This warranty applies strictly to retreatment work for subterranean termites. Coverage pays for the labor and product applications needed to re-treat active areas. It does not pay for structural repairs, cosmetic restoration, or past wood damage. We do not do damage repair. Repairs go to a licensed contractor. The warranty covers retreatment, not preexisting damage.
How coverage renews each year
You keep your retreatment warranty active by enrolling in the Termite Protection Plan. This plan extends your coverage annually after the initial one-year warranty ends. Each year you remain on the plan, our technicians conduct a yearly termite inspection of your home and inspect or monitor any installed bait stations. During this visit, the technician inspects inside and outside, looking for signs such as mud tubes or wood damage. Keeping this plan active maintains the property under an active retreatment agreement.
Plans run for twelve months and renew yearly. If you choose to sell your home, the retreatment warranty is transferable to the new property owner as long as the Termite Protection Plan is kept active. Letting the plan lapse ends the renewal.
Customer responsibilities for the treated zone
While the Termite Protection Plan handles retreatment, customers play a part in making the property less inviting to subterranean termites. Prevention that helps includes fixing leaks and drips, keeping irrigation water off the foundation, and trimming plants away from walls. Keeping gravel and woodpiles away from the house also removes shelter. These steps help keep the area around the foundation dry and visible.
Prevention alone does not end an active infestation, but fixing moisture issues supports the treatment. Customers are also responsible for structural repairs if damage is found, reducing clutter, and following written preparation and reentry instructions on treatment days.
What to do next for your property
Homeowners in the Las Vegas valley can request an evaluation of their property. We provide a free termite inspection for homeowners to check for signs of subterranean termite activity. The technician identifies the pest, finds entry points and the conditions supporting it, and explains what they found. If active termites are identified, the technician recommends an approach based on the construction and extent of the activity.
You get a recommendation and a price, which you approve before any treatment begins. Termite work is scheduled as a separate appointment. To set up an inspection for your house, visit our termite control page or contact our office staff during business hours.
