Choosing between the Scorpion Plan and Quarterly Plan

Compare features of the Scorpion Plan and Quarterly Home Pest Plan to determine the right service schedule for your Las Vegas property.

Selecting the right service schedule depends on the specific insects active around your home and yard. The Las Vegas valley is home to a variety of crawling and climbing pests, from Turkestan cockroaches living in irrigation boxes to black widow spiders around patio furniture. Understanding how our Quarterly Home Pest Plan and Scorpion Plan differ helps you choose the coverage that fits your property. Both options run for 12 months and renew yearly, and you may cancel with 30 days’ notice. Neither plan covers termites, bed bugs, fleas and ticks, rodents, mosquitoes, bees and honey bee hives, or wildlife, which are handled through separate specialized services.

Reviewing the Quarterly Home Pest Plan

The Quarterly Home Pest Plan includes a first service inside and out, then exterior visits every three months. Interior visits are available on request. This plan covers ants except carpenter ants, cockroaches, spiders including black widows, crickets, earwigs, silverfish, centipedes, pill bugs, and wasps’ nests within reach. The exterior perimeter treatment goes around the foundation, doors, windows, and weep screens. Granular treatment is applied in gravel and landscape beds where needed, and interior crack-and-crevice treatment is done only where activity is found. Scorpions are reduced, but full scorpion work requires the Scorpion Plan. If covered pests come back between scheduled visits, we come back and re-treat at no charge.

Understanding the Scorpion Plan

The Scorpion Plan includes everything in the Quarterly Home Pest Plan plus specialized methods. This plan features a blacklight night inspection at the start, because scorpions glow under ultraviolet light. Exterior visits are scheduled every two months. The treatments include scorpion-focused applications on block walls, gravel, and weep screens where they hide. Weep screeds and weep screens at the base of stucco walls on slab homes are a common entry route unless sealed or screened. Like the quarterly option, this plan includes free re-service between visits if covered pests return.

What the technician checks during the inspection

An evaluation takes place before any treatment begins on either plan. The technician inspects inside and outside to identify the pest, find entry points, and locate the conditions supporting it. They explain what they found, and you view and approve the cost before any work gets underway. During this evaluation, the technician checks:

  • Exterior perimeter areas around the foundation, doors, and windows.
  • Gravel and landscape beds where pests hide during the day.
  • Weep screens at the base of stucco walls on slab homes.
  • Wall voids and cracks where dust applications are useful.
  • Irrigation boxes and utility boxes.

Customer responsibilities around the yard

Prevention alone does not end an active infestation, but it makes a significant difference. Homeowner responsibilities involve repairing leaks and moisture issues, trimming plants away from the exterior, keeping pet food sealed, and clearing clutter. Maintaining a tidy garage and moving woodpiles away from the structure reduces hiding spots. Customers also follow written preparation and reentry instructions.

Setting up your scheduled visits

If you see occasional spiders or crickets, the quarterly schedule provides standard exterior perimeter treatments. If the Arizona bark scorpion is visible along block walls or inside living spaces, the scorpion schedule offers the required frequency. If you find scorpions indoors in a home with small children, please call the office directly at (702) 000-0000 rather than submitting a web form. We fit urgent calls into the schedule when a technician is free. For standard enrollment, visit our pest control plans page to submit an enrollment request or review coverage details for your home.

Request pest control

You do not need to identify the pest yourself. We serve the entire Las Vegas valley. Call our office or submit a request to book an inspection.
