Choosing between a one-time service and a yearly plan

Learn how to decide between a single treatment and scheduled visits for your home. We explain the differences in coverage and what to expect.

Pest technician talking with a homeowner at the front door of a Las Vegas house

Many homeowners ask if they need a single visit or a scheduled plan. The right choice depends on the specific pests you see and your long-term goals. We base our recommendation on an inspection of your property. Our trained technician identifies what is living in your yard. You review and approve the price before we begin any treatment. We offer ten percent off one-time services for seniors and military, and fifty dollars off your first service when you start a Quarterly Home Pest Plan. Deciding between a one-time service and ongoing scheduled visits comes down to the activity in question and whether you want ongoing coverage for common valley insects.

What a single visit includes

A single service works well for an isolated issue or specific pests that are not covered by regular plans. The office confirms your details and books a visit. The technician inspects the inside and outside of your property. They look for entry points, identify the pest, and explain what they found. You receive a recommendation and a price for the work. On many general pest visits, the first treatment can be done the same visit if you approve it.

One-time services include only the follow-up visits listed for that specific service. Certain pests need follow-up visits, and the technician tells you how many to expect. For example, bed bug treatments and flea treatments are done as one-time services and require a follow-up visit about two weeks later. Rodent work is also handled outside of regular plans and includes follow-up trap checks and the removal of trapped rodents. A single service does not include free retreatment if insects return months later.

How our scheduled plans work

Our Quarterly Home Pest Plan covers ants, cockroaches, spiders including black widows, crickets, earwigs, silverfish, centipedes, pill bugs, and wasps’ nests within reach. The plan starts with a service inside and out. After that, we do exterior visits every three months. We provide interior treatments on request during those visits. The treatment includes an exterior perimeter application around the foundation, doors, windows, and weep screens. We use granular treatment in gravel and landscape beds where needed, and apply dust in wall voids and weep screens. We also place sticky monitors to track activity.

If covered pests come back between scheduled visits, we come back and re-treat at no charge. For homeowners dealing with scorpions, the Scorpion Plan includes everything in the quarterly option, plus a blacklight night inspection at the start. It features exterior visits every two months and scorpion-focused treatments of block walls, gravel, and weep screens. Both plans run for twelve months and renew yearly. You cancel with thirty days of notice. Termites are not covered by these plans, but we offer a separate Termite Protection Plan with a yearly inspection.

Customer responsibilities and roles

Our work is only one part of the process. Customer responsibilities matter just as much to support the treatment. The tasks you handle help keep bugs away from the foundation.

  • Fixing leaks and moisture issues reduces water sources near the home.
  • Trimming plants off the house keeps landscaping neat and supports the exterior application.
  • Storing food and pet food in sealed containers removes food sources.
  • Following the written preparation instructions prepares the yard and house for the visit.

Before treatment day, you get written preparation and reentry instructions. You must follow these written instructions carefully. If you cancel a plan, your coverage ends.

Booking your inspection

We provide free estimates for general pest service. The technician finds where the activity originates before recommending any treatment. If you are ready to set up an inspection for your house, please contact our office to book a time. Most requests sent through our website receive a reply during business hours, usually the same business day.

New plan customers get fifty dollars off their first service when starting a Quarterly Home Pest Plan. We apply products according to their labels and discuss all recommendations with you before we begin. Review our scheduled plans
