Before a technician arrives for a scheduled visit, taking a few simple steps around your residence helps the service go smoothly. Our team provides written preparation and reentry instructions prior to treatment day. Knowing what to expect and what to clear away lets our team look closely at areas where pests hide and apply treatments where they are most needed. Preparing your living space properly before a visit is a shared responsibility that makes a real difference in the outcome.
Providing clear access for the technician
Our team needs clear access to perimeter areas both inside and outside your residence to find entry points and conditions supporting insect or rodent activity. Outdoors, please move items away from foundation walls. Keep gravel and woodpiles away from the house, and trim plants off the exterior structure. Indoors, move furniture or stored items away from baseboards where crack-and-crevice treatments or sticky monitors might be placed. Having these spaces open allows our technician to inspect the foundation, doors, windows, and weep screens without obstruction. We look for cracks in concrete, gaps around plumbing penetrations, and other common entry routes. When belongings block the walls, we cannot see where pests are entering or apply products where they belong.
Steps for children, pets, and food
Customer responsibilities include keeping children and pets out of treated areas according to the written instructions provided before your visit. You must store all human food and pet food in sealed containers, and clear open kitchen counters completely. Our products are applied strictly according to their labels. Your written instructions state the timing requirements for remaining outside treated zones during the application process. Only the written instructions determine when reentry is allowed, and you are responsible for making sure everyone stays out of the treated zones until that time passes. By following the directions carefully, you help create a better environment for the service.
What happens during your scheduled visit
An inspection comes first on every service call. The technician looks inside and outside, identifies the pest you are seeing, finds their entry points, and explains their findings to you. You do not need to know which pest you have before we arrive. Simply describe what you are noticing, and our team will identify it. You always see and approve the price before any treatment begins. For general pests, estimates are free. On many general pest visits, the first treatment can be done the same day if you approve the recommendation. Treatment methods vary based on what we find. We may perform exterior perimeter treatments around the foundation, doors, windows, and weep screens. We also use granular treatments in gravel and landscape beds where needed, interior crack-and-crevice applications only where activity is found, ant and cockroach baits, dust in wall voids, or sticky monitors to track activity over time.
Next steps for your home and yard
There are several things you can do around the yard to further help prevent indoor pests. Fixing plumbing leaks, managing moisture, keeping irrigation off the foundation, and reducing clutter make a big difference. Prevention alone does not end an active infestation, but these habits make the home less inviting to insects. Requests sent through our website are answered during business hours, usually the same business day. Please remember that an online form never confirms an appointment. Our office will call or email you to confirm the booking details and schedule your visit.
