A sample case study

This case study is a sample written to demonstrate this website. It describes real Whiptail services, but the customer and the details are illustrative.

The apartment unit situation

A property manager contacted our office regarding suspected bed bugs in an apartment unit. Our technician inspected mattress seams, furniture joints and baseboards, confirming active bed bugs in the bedroom.

The resident received a written preparation checklist before service. We performed conventional treatments on beds, furniture and baseboard crevices, followed by two follow-up visits to address remaining activity. Heat treatment was not used.

What our technician did

  1. Detailed unit inspection

Our technician inspected mattress seams, bed frames, upholstered furniture and baseboards for live bugs, shed skins and eggs.

  2. Preparation instructions

We provided the tenant with a written checklist detailing clothing laundering and furniture prep required before treatment day.

  3. Conventional treatment

The technician applied labeled products directly to bed frames, furniture seams and baseboard cracks throughout the unit.

  4. Scheduled follow-up visits

We returned two weeks later for a follow-up inspection and conducted an additional visit to address lingering activity.

Current unit status

The service required tenant preparation, an initial treatment and two follow-up visits. The technician found much less activity on the later visit, showing the treatment process was moving forward in the apartment.

The property manager received a written report after each visit to track the progress of the scheduled work.
